A look at a new desktop – Windows 7

Windows 7 is something to look forward to if you are dreaming a change in your desktop. There are subtle differences between its predecessor the Microsoft vista. The first thing to notice is that windows 7 have little key visual features. In fact, you will not notice that it is a new desktop if it is not pointed out. The user interface is quite a surprise as there are changes made by Microsoft. Although it may seem unnoticeable, it is very helpful in a lot of ways. The new taskbar is much similar to mac’s os. The predecessor of Windows 7 has different icons at the bottom of the screen. One represents favorite items. Another is open program windows and the third are notifications and items launch during the start up.

Windows 7 are not redundant in collecting large icons at the bottom of the screen. These are applications selected by user. It also gives the status if the application is running or not. The large icons have a lot of purpose. Windows 7 also has a Jumplist which is a mini start menu that contains actions. Examples are link to documents and others that let user take action without switching to any programs. There is also a temporary preview that can show you the website. The feature is called Aero Peek. Windows 7 also eliminates annoying notifications that is found in the right can side of the computer. Although there are little glitches, this new operating system is worth a try.
